May Elections: Careful-careful.....

While I was away, apparently the coming May Elections circus has gone under way, as scheduled and as forseen. In today's breaking news from ever-reliable Inquirer, it was reported that Richard Gomez went ballistic against fellow actor-candidates:

According to Richard, because of E-VAT, the local movie industry continues to struggle because it preys on producers and the moviegoing public. A source from Gomez’s camp said the actor-candidate would not spare anyone in his campaign against the E-VAT, especially those who openly support it, referring to Vilma (that's Vilma-in-Person to most of us. What's she called again? The falling star? Nevermind)

Richard had also made statements on the personal life of fellow senatorial candidate, Cesar Montano, who, he said, was remiss in supporting his Australia-based son, Diego, with former actress Teresa Loyzaga.

Richard revealed in a recent interview that Teresa’s friend called him up to complain about Cesar’s irresponsible ways as a father.

“Alam nyo, personal na yan. Pero kung ibang tao nga eh nagagawa kong tulungan, sarili pa kayang anak? Ibang tao nga napag-aaral ko, yung sarili ko pa kayang dugo,” Cesar said in a dxXL interview on Wednesday.

“Malinaw na paninira at patuligsa yan sa aking personal na pamumuhay. Hindi dapat palawakin at palawakin at palalimin,” Cesar added.

Gosh, I so miss the Philippines. It's one big, gooey, chunky pile of happiness, isn't it? :)
